Fragrance Blending for Candle Making

Join us for a hands-on workshop where you’ll design a custom scent blend and hand-pour your own set of votive candles. This class is ideal for beginners and makers who want to learn fragrance blending, candle safety, and practical pouring techniques in a relaxed, community-focused setting.

What you’ll do

• Explore fragrance blending: Learn candle fragrance blending and how it differs from fine fragrance blending

• Create a custom scent: sample and blend aroma materials and bases to craft a personalized scent profile.

• Learn candle basics: wick selection, wax types, fragrance load, melting temps, and safety guidelines.

• Hand-pour your votives: make 3 votive candles to take home

• Finish and label: trim wicks and package your candles.

• Fragrance materials and necessary tools are included to make 3 votive candles w/labels and a box.

• Guided instruction and printed reference sheet with recipes and care tips

• Duration: 2–2.5 hours

  • 30min - Intro and safety

  • 1hr blending/smelling

  • 1hr to pour and let the candle cure for transport

• What to bring: closed-toe shoes and hair tied back; feel free to bring a notebook
